Octopus - Needle Felt Sculpture
I made this little red European robin painstakingly by hand. I used sheep's wool, wire for structure and glass for the eyes.
It is roughly 12 inches / 30 cm across. Because the tentacles have wire inside, allowing it to be gently posed, the size varies depending on the pose.
This is a collectible piece of artwork for display only, not a toy.

I don't send out many Christmas Cards anymore - but I do have a couple people in other countries I send to - and I wanted a card that had a Canadian theme. I really liked a couple of the cards, but chose the one with the animals on it. When I received the cards - I also received a hand-written note from the artist. That meant a lot to me.
